German American and I agree the more you use the Nazi label the less meaning it has and a lot of Americans need to reeducate themselves on how real Nazis acted and enforced their ideology because the fact that the population can speak freely on what they think about the administration and live is a clear difference that we are not there yet

It’s already happening, there are so many people who think that everyone who doesn’t think like them is a nazi that the term nazi doesn’t mean anything anymore. In US they had 50 years old cold war to learn the commie ideology in and out, but most americans have no idea what was the ideology of the nazi.

Fascism is a better description of what these people are. Trump himself is actually probably too selfish and stupid to subscribe to any ideology in particular, but his policies are fascist and his supporters are supporting fascism. Elon Musk probably believes in enough race realist shit on top of maga stuff to be considered an actual nazi though.
