I thought i was being smart and avoiding this by going into the ceremonial honor guard. cause walking in steel horseshoes and standing at attention for literal hours aren't that bad on your back and knees..

Dad had surgery on both knees because it was just bone on bone, all the cartilage was gone. We call them his magic legs or “ Lieutenant Dan.” Then he got a shoulder surgery, he’s all broken.
