When we first came over to the UK over twenty years ago my teachers told my parents to only speak our launguage at home(no English) because it teaches children day to day how to use the launguage and they’ll learn all the English at school. It may not seem like a lot because they’re not speaking Lithuanian outside if that makes sense but everyday being exposed to it from you really does make a difference! Me and my sisters are fluent in Polish fully just from speaking it at home- I then learnt extra bits and bobs as a grew up from family abroad etc :) good luck definitely worth teaching her more than one Launauage :) One thing my parents also did was watch tv/reading kids stories in our Launguage which I believe helped me learn more :)

I only speak Polish to my baby and only read him Polish books because he’s exposed to English all the other time! Unless I’m like one on one wit someone English and can tell it’s awkward then I say things in English here and there but still mostly Polish 😅
