Bad advice. White gold tarnishes, rhodium wears off. Platinum is a white sturdy metal and cheaper than it has been in decades. Gold is a bit less expensive because it’s worth less. 14k is 41 1/2%alloy 18k is 25%alloy. Platinum has usually only 5-10% alloy.
