@iuic_atlanta: Here at IUIC, we teach the truth, that Jesus is a BLACK MAN!! Even on the darkest continent on Earth 🌍 this truth must be taught! 🔥🔥🔥 #IUICWorldBlitz #Nathanyel7 #IUIC
You have to read context because context matters. When John sees Jesus in Revelation 1, John is not walking with Jesus on earth again. John is seeing the risen and glorified Christ revealed in power and glory. iRevelation says His hair was white like wool, white like snow. Those descriptions mean something. In Scripture, white points to purity, holiness, wisdom, and eternity. We even see similar language in Daniel 7:9. Then Revelation says His eyes were like fire. Again, that reveals something. Fire exposes things. Nothing is hidden from Jesus. He sees truth. He sees our hearts. Hebrews 4:13 tells us nothing is hidden from God. Then it says His feet were like bronze refined in a furnace. Refined metal is tested. It is strong. It stands firm. Jesus stands firm. Jesus cannot be shaken. Then it says His voice sounded like rushing waters. Think about standing near powerful water. You hear it. You feel it. You cannot ignore it. Jesus speaks with authority and power. Then it says His face shined like the sun. We also see this picture in Matthew 17 when Jesus was transfigured before His disciples. John is showing us Jesus in glory. Holy. Eternal. Powerful. King of kings. John is not pointing us to an ethnicity or a skin color. John is pointing us to who Jesus is. That is why context matters. Slow down. Read carefully. Let Scripture help explain Scripture.

Divine Judgment: In the Old Testament, bronze/brass is frequently used in items associated with God’s judgment and holiness, such as the Bronze Altar and the Bronze Serpent. By depicting Jesus with feet of glowing brass, John illustrates Christ's authority and role as the ultimate, holy Judge of the earth.Refinement and Purity: John describes the brass as being "refined" or "glowing" in a furnace. Scholars note that a furnace represents intense heat used to purge metals of impurities. This symbolizes that Jesus's judgment and actions are entirely pure, tested, and righteous.
