My grandfather was one of the first responders during 9/11. He got to the site about when the first tower collapsed and was there at zero hoping to clean up all the rubble and debris. Sadly he died of cancer in 2014 so I don’t really got any stories from him because he’s been dead for about 12 years.

For Three Days it felt like America didn’t move at all. Planes weren’t flying, cars barely on the road. I don’t even remember going to school.

Everyone should take the new generation to the 911 Memorial in New York. The people were completely quiet. I could not find my 10 year-old daughter. She ran off while I was looking. When I did find her, she was in the audio room of all communication from the event of victims. She was crying. They had pictures of every person that died that day in the audio room. I was worn out for the rest of the day.

I feel sad for the younger people today who never knew a pre-9/11 America. I graduated from college in May 2001 so excited to enter the world with all the hope of being a teenager in the 90s where everything seemed possible in the dawn of a new tech age. And then it crashed down around us

I was in 9th grade in my classroom. Every tv was on as you walked down the halls. My teacher scared bc his sister was on a flight to NY that day. I’ll never forget. 🙏
