I worked at an assisted living facility and I worked on the memory floor, and so many of the elderly people I cared for talked, asked, and cried for their mamas. I would go home and hold my babies a little harder. I had to quit after a year because I couldn't emotionally handle losing my new family. 😭

They will know what you look like as a sweet cute old lady. And Joy will help with your hair. Solomon will hold your hand when you take a nap when you are elderly. And David will make sure you have your favorite drinks or food or any mixture of these things. Tough to know we leave before them but a blessing that our children will be there for us.

My grandmother in law will be 90 in November, her youngest is nearing retirement, her eldest great grand just got her license, her youngest great grand isn’t born yet, but soon. I know for a fact that Joy will have her own minis that you get to love on, hold, and watch grow up, caring for her in the way their grandma would have. As sad as it is, we started a whole new limb that will have so many branches one day, we just gotta have faith in that 🫂🩷🌺

I had a work colleague who only recently lost her grandma and mum in the last year. they were 109 and 90, they both were in the same room in the local nursing home. theres hope 💕
