for everyone saying this is mean, the issue isn't her observing, but asking questions while the makeup artist is trying to do her job disrupts focus and takes away from the client who paid for the service and obviously using products that you did not pay for without asking is a problem and can ruin the hygienic practices of the artist

It is not the artist’s job to give a tutorial or provide free makeup. Nor the bride’s responsibility. People think they are entitled and should receive special treatment. The artist has bills to pay, quality materials and pay to keep learning more, because they live from these services. She was not mean, but the bridesmaid was on the way. MUA was just doing her job with the BRIDE who did pay her experience and knowledge. Btw if it is out of your budget you can learn from any tutorial and get affordable makeup. That is the way I have worked it.

I’ve been a bridesmaid that couldn’t afford professional makeup and I went to a mac at the mall the week before and made a plan. Don’t try to guilt professionals into giving their services for free!

Guys products are expensive. Equipment is expensive. Makeup classes cost money too. She wanted all of it for free. I can honestly understand why the makeup artist felt a little uncomfortable.
