Just some FYI car-part.com grades parts their self according to miles it sucks but its the reality of their operation I know this as a inventory man at a 40 acre yard, salvage yards have to deal with this daily. But sadly the yards have no control of how Car-Part grade parts. So for example if a yard puts a part in with no or low miles Car-part grades as A even though its a walking special. A good example is say a bumper put in and you list as walkin only and vehicle has 75k they will list as grade A due to miles unfortunately.But one of the body shops worse enemy is the insurance companies not reading part description and location fully. Shops struggle with insurance companies daily if not 3 times a day. Insurance companies are not working for us thats for sure so make sure your body shaop does. And I will say from what our customers say Sate Farm is the worst in our area.

What about the policy of the customer they’re going to pay out-of-pocket the extra charge for Oem parts come on brother for sure you get aftermarket parts or you are not being in the business

Unfortunately, most people auto insurance policies only cover aftermarket or salvage parts. The customer is responsible for selecting the right policies, not the body shops.

So you will let a customers vehicle sit instead of putting on a good quality used part to get them going. Hardly any parts available new unless its China crap ill take quality used OEM before China crap.
