There is a saying if you have land on the Polderbaan it’s like landing in Rotterdam and then taxi to Amsterdam because of the crazy long taxi especially if rwy 36c is in use

the built what is now the ring dike canal and used huge steam powered pump engines to drain the land, you can visit De Cruquius museum which has one of the preserved pump engines

if you want to see more of schiphol you can watch a reailty tv show. With the same name als the airport you see al the people who work there and what happens at air port on a dailey basis. Amsterdam centraal also has a reality tv show you can watch it is the same formaat.
