This is fine if your father loves you in the first place ! I had no father he abandoned me, I’ve never had the I’m proud of you conversation. I’ve never had that back up . I’ve had to figure it out for my kids , and before people say your mum probably did the job for both of them .. no she left as well , I love my kids and adore my grandkids but I did it on my terms I had no one to learn from, I wish I’d had parents

I lost my father in 2019 Jan,he named me after his father. And I named my son after him,today is my son's birthday, he's turning 2. Nobody's have any idea how much I miss him every time I looked at my son 😢 He looks like my dad. And my pops never had a chance to see my son 😭
