WOT is a 5/10 for me unfortunately. The art is 10/10 and the premise is awesome but Tom King can’t write for shit in my opinion. Every story he writes feels like he wants to go deep but they all feel very surface level to me

Tom King is an extremely talented author, but he definitely takes his own interpretation of characters over the “canon” version. This isn’t an issue for me bc I really don’t care like that but he should definitely stay off mainline ongoings

the way i was super conflicted if i wanted to get the hardcover or the compact since tom king 😭 eventually got the compact since someone was selling it second hand but by god it is gorgeous maybe i want the hardcover now too 😭

I love Tom King, i acknowledge his flaws and issues which many authors do have. I relate to him a lot due to having slightly similar past. But if there's one thing i learned is that never let that man write anything that's not a one shot or not a mini series
