Butcher block will always look better than basic granite, you can cut/chop on it without destroying your knife edge and it’s near impossible to break a corner off.

It looks good however the amount of care you will need to apply to keep it looking good—it reminds me of those copper sinks I think it’s copper, those things are a pain in the ass to clean. But hey 2 each they own

They take great care to put drop cloths on the floor, but I very much doubt they clean up all the dust that they made on all the surfaces. And I’m sure they don’t tell the homeowner. They have to reseal that butcher block a lot over it’s lifetime

Granite is put down with silicone Just cut the silicone with a puddy knife and lift up. No need to demolish it. lol
