This Protestant pastor believes that modern Israel is is the Israel of the bible. Here’s why it’s not, and why is deeply sinful for him to think that it is: After the first Pentecost, Acts 2, 3,000 people converted to Christianity. Later, an epistle was written to the Church in Jerusalem, Hebrews, is evidence of growth. When the Roman’s expelled the Jews in 70ad, they expelled the Sanhedrin and wealthy, but the low and merchant class stayed. There was intermarriage and assimilation—in the 7th century the Arabs brought Islam and the first Muslim Caliphate was formed. Everyone assimilated in this new Islamic monarchy. Judaism is a tribal religion. Meaning its religious writing pertains to a family of people related by blood and its scripture is written successively by newer generations. By Judaism’s own self-identifying standard, the Palestinians deserve the land because they are more closely related to the Israelites than modern Jews in many cases. Israel actually cleverly uses an alternate definition for “indigenous.” They do not believe that Native Americans are indigenous when they learn English and convert to Christianity. They say the same about Palestinians—they lost their right to the land when they converted to Islam in the 7th century.
