The red button is like objectively better the question is just "don't die or maybe die" and it's worded to sound like the blue button is some humanitarian choice when it's really not BUT not everyone is perfectly logical and some people are gonna press the blue button and they still deserve to live

I personally think that question reveals what a person believes about humanity. Red believes that people inherently think mostly about themselves, while blue believes that humans take others into consideration in high stakes situations. There is actually a brilliant book about a similar topic.
