Its also illegal to drive in reverse at the Autobahn. You are allowed only when your vehicle can with speed over 60km/h

Actually about 70% of the Autobahn has no speed limit. It just seems like there are a lot of limits cuz most people travel on highly frequented highways, for example in metropolitan areas.

I am German American and the biggest thing I noticed was how perfect the roads were in Germany. There were not potholes or any imperfections. The autobahn had like a racetrack like pavement. All of the roads in the US are so poor with pot holes and inconsistencies that tear up your car.

There doesn't need to be a "speed limit lifted" sign for it to be lifted. After every "Ausfahrt" sign (meaning "exit") the speed limit is also lifted unless there is a new speed limit directly after

Actually the sign means, all former section bans like speed limits or overtaking prohibitions are suspended. The overall rule is, as long as there is no speed limit sign, there is no speed limit.

I was at an American birthday party a couple of years ago and the parents thought Autobahn is a city in Germay where there are no rules for driving. They thought Germans go there to drive fast as a hobby

Not completely true. The default is no speed limit. The shown sign is only used if a speed limit was indicated by signs before. If there are no signs at all, there is no speed limit.

It's also illegal in the US to run out of gas on expressways. Emergency stopping only and running out of gas is not an emergency.

Don't forget that your vehicle has to be abel to drive at least 60km/h for the Autobahn... And yes there are vehicles that would be still forbitten on the Autobahn.

The sign you showed indicates the cancellation of all road restrictions; the cancellation of the speed limit can also be indicated by a sign that still displays numbers indicating the previous speed limit.

the sign just means that a previous speed limit sign (e.g. 80kmh because of construction work) is no longer valid. if there wasn't a speed limit sign after you entered the Autobahn it's also unlimited - no additional sign needed, just the blue "start of Autobahn" sign.

You didn‘t mention the beschleunigungsstreifen which mean accelleration line. When you enter the Autobahn you Are meant to accellerate to the Same Speed others Are deiving and That’s what that line is for. You Are also supposed to use the entire line for accelleration before actually entering and to find your fap while Doing so.
