Truck drivers need more security. They travel hundreds of miles and often don't even have a safe place to sleep. Law enforcement, instead of just issuing tickets and checking licenses, permits, and languages, should be paying more attention to them and providing them with greater security. They should be kinder, more empathetic, and take care of truck drivers. It's so sad. How is it possible that there are so few public rest areas for truckers on the interstates? Of the few that exist, most are closed. They don't have access to these rest areas; their security is nonexistent. They aren't even allowed to transport cargo with any kind of protection. What's going on in Florida with so many vehicle thefts, and now this?
