I won’t put money into a car unless it’s Toyota or Lexus, Had a Toyota Prius aka my taxi on 250k miles and all I did was service it and do tyre changes

Honestly, every brand has its lemons. 🍋 People love to bash Chinese cars the second something goes wrong, but look at the actual 2025/2026 data. The industry average for new car glitches is around 229 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100) right now. Chery is actually sitting at 220 PP100—meaning they’re statistically more reliable than the industry average and even some massive German and US brands that people trust blindly. Even Toyota and VW have had huge recalls lately for software and engine issues. If this was a Range Rover or a Merc, people would just say 'it’s a luxury car thing,' but since it’s a Jaecoo, everyone loses their minds. No car is 100% bulletproof. The only real fail here is how the dealership is handling it—that’s where they need to do better!

After owning a Chery (jaecoo is the premium off brand of Chery) all I can say is good experiences, in October we bought a Chery tiggo 4 and we did 50k kms and had no issues apart from the CarPlay dropping out
