@byanchalmirza: To be better than everyone else at work, you have to be the most reliable person in the room🏆 Part 2 of how to be better in corporate America: 1️⃣ Stop asking "Wiki" questions try finding the answers on your own first 📈 Do this: Find the doc yourself. Only ask for context, not for facts you can find in 30 seconds 2️⃣ Own your mistakes and don’t blame others 📈 Do this: Say "That’s on me, here is how I’m fixing it." Integrity gets you promoted faster than "perfection" ever will 3️⃣ Be the most prepared and ensure others are prepared too 📈 Do this: Send the agenda and the pre-read 24 hours early. If you respect people's time, they will respect your leadership 💾 Save this to start using this strategy and tell me which of these is your biggest pet peeve? #WorkingInTech #TechLeadership #ExecutivePresence #personalcurriculum #SelfImprovement @Warby Parker @renttherunway @onequince
And if there’s not internal documentation, create the SOPs/Best Practices. Being proactive is so underrated!

I think that’s really great. Other thing is when people ask me something that I don’t know I want to openly admit that I don’t know and that’s a teaching moment. I think it shows humility and I think that’s an admiral quality because I think people sometimes feel like they have to know everything. Thanks for sharing.

What’s annoying at my job is my bosses expect me to ask them instead of researching on my own 😒 like there is no room for me to learn that way

I get annoyed that I always own up to my mistakes but others that should in the same meeting just sit there silently.
