@samaratips_miami: I adopted Cooper from a “reputable” rescue. They told me he was healthy. “He just needs a good bath and some TLC.” I trusted them. I paid the $350 adoption fee. Signed all the paperwork. Brought him home. --- The next morning, I gave him that bath. And watched clumps of fur wash down the drain. Underneath? Raw, oozing skin. Hot spots everywhere. Scabs and sores. I was horrified. --- I called the rescue immediately. “You said he was healthy. His skin is DESTROYED.” The woman got defensive: “We disclosed he had some skin irritation. It’s in the paperwork.” “SOME IRRITATION? He’s COVERED in open wounds!” “Well, you signed the adoption agreement. All sales are final.” She hung up on me. --- I took Cooper to the vet that day. The vet examined him and went quiet. “This is severe neglect. Chronic skin breakdown, malnutrition, possible infection. This didn’t happen overnight.” They KNEW. The rescue knew his condition and lied to get him adopted. --- Tests and treatment: Skin culture: $240 Antibiotics: $85 Medicated baths: $60 Prescription food: $94 Week after week, nothing improved. Cooper was in constant pain. Wouldn’t let me touch him. Barely ate. I spent over $1,200 in two months. --- Then my vet said something that changed everything: “His body can’t heal because it can’t produce enough collagen anymore. The neglect destroyed his system.” She recommended Taily Collagen. Bioavailable. Vet-formulated. Designed for severe skin repair. $34 on Amazon. After everything, I was skeptical. But I had nothing left to lose. --- Week 3: Hot spots started closing. First real healing I’d seen. Week 5: Fur growing back on bald patches. Week 8: His skin looked NORMAL for the first time since I got him. Week 10: Full, healthy coat. He let me pet him without flinching. He finally looked like a dog who was LOVED. --- Cost of the rescue’s lie: $1,550 (adoption fee + failed treatments) Cost to actually heal him: $68 (two months of collagen) --- I reported that rescue to every authority I could find. They’re still operating. Still adopting out sick dogs. Still lying about their conditions. --- Here’s what they don’t tell you: Rescues are BUSINESSES. They need to move dogs to make space. And sick dogs are harder to adopt. So they downplay. They hide. They lie. And YOU pay for it. --- If your “rescue dog with skin issues” isn’t healing with normal treatment? It’s probably not just allergies or stress. Severe neglect destroys collagen production. And without collagen, skin CANNOT repair itself. You need to rebuild from the inside. 👆 Link in bio. The collagen that healed what neglect destroyed—and gave my rescue the life he deserved. #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #TailyCollagen #DogHealth #rescuefail

Awe Honey... Have you seen a vet? Epsom salt baths or Oatmeal baths will soothe him. I'm dealing with the same thing with my dog's feet. Beneryl will help also. Also prescription Antibiotics or Steroids. Please consult a vet! He is Miserable 😖😭

Cyclosporine! My golden retriever was part of a medical study. When people were on anti rejection medication from organ transplants, their dermatitis disappeared. It was proven to work in dermatology. It cured my dog.
