President John Dramani Mahama was born on November 29, 1958, in the northern town of Damongo. As a young boy, he grew up in a family that valued education, discipline, and public service. His father, Emmanuel Adama Mahama, served in government, but John was taught that hard work mattered more than privilege. He enjoyed reading books, listening to stories from elders, and spending time with friends in his community. Those childhood experiences helped him understand the traditions and challenges of ordinary Ghanaians. Even at a young age, he was known for being curious and thoughtful. As he grew older, the lessons he learned from his family and community inspired him to pursue education and eventually dedicate his life to public service. The boy from Damongo would later become one of Ghana's presidents, carrying with him the values he learned during his childhood.#HistoryTime #jjrawlings #kwamenkrumah #ghanaculture #GhanaHistory
