We never said that your husband is going to leave you but the dynamic trad wives are in is extremely vulnerable because you are dependent on a man. Again not all men will treat you poorly if they know you’re dependent but it always a man. If it works for you, great! If it doesn’t, it will take you years to get back on your feet with no prior work experience. I love my husband but I would never let him take over me financially. If my mental health is being compromised I know i have a cushion to fall back on and stand up on my feet.

You went on this long rant and still didn’t answer the question. You have no plan, no savings, nothing. You’re completely reliant on the whims of a man who could leave you. It’s great that you’re able to be with your kids. But you shouldn’t encourage this lifestyle because it makes you weak, helpless, and dependent. If he leaves, you are screwed. If he doesn’t, great, be happy. But not every man will stay and encouraging impressionable young girls to rely on someone else is so dangerous and harmful. I don’t care about your life. I care about the girls watching and thinking this isn’t dangerous.

When he leaves her destitute, she is going to expect her children, extended family, and friends circle to take care of her because she has normalized being infantilized and cannot take care of herself. However, Feminists of a certain age have experienced themselves or seen their mothers abandoned by the man who “provides.” Their concern for your future is real.

Girl, it’s concern. What happens if your husband becomes disabled? What if he loses his job? What if he passes away? What happens genuinely if you are left for some unpredictable reason? You’ve got to have a backup plan. This is your plan A and that’s beautiful but what’s your plan B?

Statistically, it's more likely to end than workout. I would still choose to stay home. Make a plan. Have an account that can be savings for a "rainy day" after it hits a certain amount (6-24 months living expenses), use the excess for anything. Plan to fail or fail to plan.
