not so of this is accurate, the chances of someone turning into a Tyrant is 1 in 100,000,000. As for the strains of T-Virus, none of the strains were created to prevent brain degradation. All of the strains were created to enhance the virus's lethality. The first strain was created by James Marcus in 1988 after he fused the Progenitor Virus with Leech DNA, which created a mutation that ended up becoming an earlier version of the T-Virus called the Prototype Virus. It wasn't until Marcus's assassination that Birkin took over the research and all existing samples of the T-Virus, and once he did he fused the Prototype Virus with Ebola which created the T-Virus we all know from the first few games, which would also be called the Epsilon strain. The newly enhanced T-Virus would have a faster transmission rate and turn anyone infected with it into zombies in a span of minutes to just a few hours.
