homemade iced lemon loaf 🍋🍞   starbucks dupe??  recipe:   ingredients: ½ cup unsalted butter, room temp (113 g) ¾ cup sugar (150 g) 2 large eggs (100 g) 1 egg yolk (18 g) 1 tsp vanilla (5 g) ½ cup plain greek yogurt (120 g) 2 tbsp lemon juice (30 g) 1½ tbsp lemon zest 1½ cups all-purpose flour (180 g) 1½ tsp baking powder (6 g) ¼ tsp baking soda (1 g) ½ tsp salt (3 g)   preheat oven to 350f. line a loaf pan. cream butter, and sugar for 2–3 minutes until light and fluffy. add eggs + yolk one at a time, mixing well after each. mix in vanilla, lemon juice, and zest. mix in sour cream/yogurt until smooth. in a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. fold dry ingredients into wet just until combined, don’t overmix. pour into pan and smooth top. run a knife down the center. bake 45–55 minutes until tall and set. ( i had to double the recipe to get a big loaf in my pan )    lemon syrup : ¼ cup lemon juice (60 g) ¼ cup sugar (50 g) heat the lemon juice and sugar together over medium heat until the sugar fully dissolves and it turns into a light syrup. once the loaf comes out of the oven, let it sit for about 5–10 minutes, then gently brush or spoon the syrup over the warm loaf. let it soak in before removing from the pan. lemon vanilla glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar (120 g) 1–2 tbsp lemon juice (15–30 g) 1–2 tbsp heavy cream (15–30 g) ½ tsp vanilla bean paste whisk everything together until smooth. start with less liquid, then add more as needed until you get a thick but pourable consistency. pour over the fully cooled loaf. the measurements are approx bc i didn’t really measure i just made it to taste :).    #lemon #loaf #Recipe #baking #lemoncake
