Unfortunately this is how some uneducated police officers are with no clear common sense and an ego twice the size of the state they patrol, Hence why members of the public simply don’t trust the police anymore because of officers like this or officers who have a power and authority attitude towards general members of the public, and instead of descalating and using communication skills and gain the respect and trust that police use to have like many old school cops did, it’s seems like 75% of interactions we get to hear or see like this is officers escalating the situation from a plan and simple encounter to trying to completely ruining a persons life with criminal convictions, like this hard working man who was simply getting gas at a fueling pump like any other normal person would, and apparently like he does regularly there, but officer dumb arse can’t obviously determine the difference between a gun and a gas nozzle and escalated the whole situation from the gecko and could have easily killed this man for just filling up his tank with gas, is it any wonder why regardless of your political views or stances that the majority of people don’t trust or respect the police anymore because of officers like this and worse out there?
