@nyahjones_: It’s just a church in Milan… that’s adorned with real human bones… This is the ossuary of San Bernardino alle Ossa. The bones date back to the 17th century, but the location has been a final resting place for human remains since the 13th century🤯 They come from all walks of life— from patients of a nearby hospital, to prisoners, to members of aristocratic families and canons of the nearby Basilica of Santo Stefano. As someone who’s super fascinated by dark tourism, I loved this visit in Milan. It’s quick and free and it really made me feel something. 🤍
