Your legacy software doesn't need an API anymore, because AI can now just use it like your employees do. The models are so good at using your computer and using your browser, if you’re being held back from using your data with legacy software, it's worth a revisit. I'm talking about software that could be from pre-2010 and has a UI that looks like SharePoint 2010, and takes 30 seconds to 1 or 2 minutes or more when loading from one screen to the next. Software like Vista, Trimble, InEight, Viewpoint, JD Edwards, Dynamics, Epicor, Syspro and the list goes on. The ones that don't have an API, let alone an MCP connector, or if they do, they're charging thousands just to access with limited capabilities. The ones your employees either have to slog through every day or have to extract an Excel or PDF from work in another programme and then re-upload or upload to another legacy software. We've worked in so many legacy software systems the past several years now that, before Soul 5.6, Opus 5, and even Gemini 3.7 any legacy software would be very difficult to work through. Yes these companies are trying to add their own AI solutions as fast as possible but in so many cases the implementation is substandard or mid at best. And the benefit of using a browser is you can get multiple tabs and multiple agents to work in the the platform, whether it's extracting a CSV/Excel to work on it or working inside the platform itself. If you haven't tried the latest models in your industry-specific and legacy software, I highly recommend giving it a shot. You'd be more than surprised at what it can do. #aibusiness #trimble #aitoolsforbusiness
