I've always felt the first game is a rough diamond. Had everything there just needed fine tuning. That's why Mass Effect 2 was so incredible it made all the right changes to bring out the full potential.

I binged the entire trilogy in one week in 2025 playing all 3 games and all the dlcs back to back to back and it was one of the single greatest gaming experiences of my life. My friend told me to play the game and him and I had an amazing time, unforgettable experience

of all the complaints about the combat, "shallow" is one I never thought I would hear. There are three entirely different trees full of crazy powers that dramatically affect the battlefield, as well as hardening, physics thresholds, all kinds of mods, specialized ammo....

I love Mass Effect a lot. I've never had any issues with the gameplay, but that's probably bias. having played it when I was young, I wouldn't know if it's unintuitive because I've been used to it for so long.

When I heard they were remastering the trilogy, I was hoping they would give one and two the same gameplay as three. They wouldn't need to change the power management, or weapon system. Just give them the cover system, melee system, and combat rolls.

I have fond memories of the first one but I struggle trying to replay it and tend to skip straight to 2 because I have saved games I can use to import. I kinda wish they'd remade it for Legendary edition to match 2 and 3.

Although I really liked the series, the ending of Mass Effect 3 is honestly the main thing I remember now, It left such a sour taste in my mouth that it’s the only thing stopping me from replaying the trilogy.

I love the series, but even with Legendary edition, ME1 is literally unplayable for me and I gave up on ME2 after several hours despite me wanting desperately experiencing the great story again. Nah. The gameplay is horrible. It was completely mid when it came out and now? Pass. Such a shame.

Honestly, when I replay ME1 I just turn down the difficulty and play as the soldier class so I can just blast the assult rifle and walk forward. I blow though the story super fast
