@stepsistersdpm: Had a nail procedure and nervous to remove the dressing the next day? Here’s a simple trick we often recommend 👣 Before removing the bandage, let it get fully wet first. You can do this in the shower or by soaking your foot in warm Epsom salt water. This helps loosen dried drainage so the dressing comes off easier and with less discomfort. Then continue soaking for about 10 minutes. After soaking, gently massage the skin away from the nail to help clear debris and keep the area clean. Pat dry well with a clean towel afterward. Small aftercare steps can make recovery smoother ✨ Comment “INGROWN” for a full video on what to do after the procedure.#ingrown #ingrowntoenail #footpain #footpainrelief #doctor

you actually have to go to the doctors again and you aren't supposed to get it wet for the first 2 days

@yzmn: Hi, i have been waiting to be seen by a podiatrist for so long but am running a half marathon in a month and noticed around the 7km mark i get numbness and tingling in my feet. i have to give it a massage and stretch to relieve it a bit but it gets hard to continue. ive loosened the laces loads and got new running shoes. not sure what else to try! any advice would be super helpful xxx

I did this when I got mine removed, it was still stuck though and I passed it trying to take it off. Didn’t hurt or anything, it was just so mentally uncomfortable 😅

I had my whole toenail removed yesterday morning due to possible fungal infection/subungual abscess. She said it looked good underneath and I didn’t need antibiotics is that common?
