Halal food today is often not prepared the way it should be. In many cases, kosher preparation is actually closer to halal standards than the so-called halal meat sold in Europe.

Factually, halal meat is much cleaner than regular commercial meat because the animals from the regular meat are often given chemicals or electricity to be knocked out or instantly killed before the bleeding. Whereas halal meat is made when the animal is in the state of submission and a swift deep cut into the jugular vein, carotid artery and windpipe while reciting the name of Allah. It may seem cruel and unjust but the animals are treated humanely and respectfully beforehand. Plus, it beats eating chemical-flavored steak
