@recipes.with.ren: Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Tenders 🍗🔥 | Homemade, Juicy & Better Than Takeout I made butter from scratch and used the leftover buttermilk to create the ultimate crispy chicken tenders—and they did NOT disappoint. Juicy on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and packed with bold, spicy flavour. Perfect for a weekend treat or a crowd-pleasing dinner. Ingredients 🛒 - 🐔 Chicken breast (cut into strips) - 🥛 Buttermilk (homemade if you’ve got it!) - 🌶️ Paprika - 🌶️ Chili powder - 🧄 Garlic granules - 🧅 Onion granules - 🌶️ Frank’s Red Hot sauce - 🌾 Plain flour - 🌽 Cornflour - 🧄 Garlic powder - 🌶️ Extra chili powder - 🛢️ Oil for frying Method 👨🍳 1. In a bowl, whisk together buttermilk, paprika, chili powder, garlic granules, onion granules, and a splash of hot sauce. 2. Add chicken strips and marinate for a few hours (longer = more flavour). 3. In another bowl, mix plain flour, cornflour, garlic powder, and chili powder. Add a spoon of the wet marinade into the flour and mix for extra texture. 4. Coat chicken in flour → dip back into marinade → coat again in flour (double coating = crunch!). 5. Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. 6. Drain and serve hot with your favourite dip. Homemade Raising Cane’s Style Sauce 🍯 - 🥄 1/2 cup mayonnaise - 🍅 2 tbsp ketchup - 🌶️ 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce - 🧄 1/2 tsp garlic powder - 🧂 1/2 tsp black pepper - 🌶️ Optional: pinch of paprika or hot sauce Mix everything together and let it sit for 30–60 minutes for best flavour. #CrispyChicken #chickentenders #FoodTok #rasingcanes #FriedChicken

Sam :
highly suggest letting the chicken rest with the coating on it, it'll have a higher chance of separation if you don't :)
