Here’s how to spend the perfect day in Independence, Missouri! ☕ Start the day at @Kinship Cafe - order the berry latte and a breakfast wrap (my faves) 🛍️ Shop the square - Wild About Harry is a gem of a men’s store, Gilbert Whitney & Co. has the best specialty grocery finds, there’s a romance bookstore called @The Littlest Library , and so much more! 🍗 Lunch at Courthouse Exchange - this historic restaurant has been around since 1899 and the chicken-fried chicken is unbelievable 🍦 Order Harry Truman’s favorite sundae at Clinton’s Soda Fountain - his first job was here when it was Crown Drug Store! ☕️ Mainstreet Coffee House - for your afternoon coffee pick-me-up! 🏛️ Visit the Truman Library - Both “Opening the Vault: Story of Us” and the regular exhibits here are well worth the visit 🏡 Tour the Truman Home or Vaile Mansion - both historic homes are absolutely stunning! 🔥 Try glassblowing at @Englewood Arts - one of the coolest things I’ve done 🍰 Pick up @franniefranks while you’re there (non-negotiable - I think about it constantly!) 🥂 Apps + drinks in the @vivilorekc courtyard before the night wraps up 🏒 End the night at a Mavericks or Comets game at Cable Dahmer Arena 🥕 bonus - if you’re going on a Saturday, you’ll be able to catch the farmers market in the square! Independence feels like the intersection of art, history, and great food and I loved every minute of it!
