@thepadawancollector: Super Dangerous Toys... Magnetix — Mega Brands (2003–2007) Produced by Mega Brands, Magnetix was a construction toy using magnetic rods and steel balls and become one of the most popular building sets in the early 2000s. However some magnets came loose and were swallowed by children. If more than one magnet reached the intestines, they could attract internally, tearing tissue — leading to surgeries, and at least one child death. Nearly 4 million sets were recalled by the CPSC starting in March of 2006. And newer sets made after the recall, don’t contain this safety hazard. But Older secondary market sets still sell for $30–$70 today. #dangeroustoys #toyhazzards #productrecall #childsafety #magnetix #toysafety
