And what’s with the breakers? We stopped or most of the world stopped using those in the 70’s

So, when a hot water system explodes in the US, it happens inside the house?

As an American, I hate that weather proof covers!! Bubble covers or “in use” covers are better

What's the deal with being an sparky in another country? Is it just a straight qualification accepted from Australia or do you need to retrain for the US?

I’m in Canada but our electrical system is pretty similar to the states, looks like most of that is just older tech that probably isn’t worth it to upgrade (or owner is cheap)

Australian one much neater, unless a sparkle uses different brands of breakers. The modular panels much nicer.

To be fair that’s a weather resistant cover not a weatherproof in use cover. 2 separate things but does look like the wrong cover for that specific installation

as a industrial Electrician I've worked on a few US machines. first thing you notice is how much bare metal conductors is in a control box. With the Aussie boxes there are no chances of contacting live bits.

if it ain't broke don't fix it, those breakers are physically big because they run twice the current at 110V for the save device at 240
