@Kareen Mads :Hi, I just want to share something that helped us before. My brother also had a tracheostomy and couldn’t speak, but he was conscious and could understand us. What I did was the alphabet method. I would say the letters one by one, and when I reached the correct letter he would close his eyes. I would write the letters on paper so I wouldn’t get confused, and little by little we could spell the words he wanted to say. It really helped us communicate. Maybe this could help you too.
