OMG mee. I have those side bits. ill straighten it and soon after it curls back up. its so annoying

Use a hairdryer to rough dry your hair first and comb through at the same time. Focus on your roots and stretch out the curl with your hair brush. Should make it a lot easier to run the straightener through!

Try a really small, thin straightener. They’re cheap about £10/15 or blow dry them first before doing the rest of your hair, however any humidity and they’ll be curly again 😭 also thank you for talking about this issue because why have I been going through this alone 😭

Those hair dryers with multi tools extentions are brilliant, I use it with the brush while drying. Its saves so much time and effort.

I pull the strand tight and straighten the pieces as close to my scalp as possible 😭

Tbh I just burn my scalp to straighten them 😭 but I have seen like straightening combs maybe those would work
