Also all creatives need HUMILITY that’s what’s allows you to grow!! To be able to look at what you do and kind of hate it.. a lot of the times it’s part of the process! Most creative people are their own biggest critics. He thinks everything he does is amazing which is why he’ll never grow

It’s similar to how some people learning a new skill for example embroidery want to start selling it right away. But they don’t have the skill yet and expect to be payed the same hourly wage as a skilled artisan who is 10x faster than them and has perfected their skill for 20 years.. like if it takes you 40 hours to embroider a flower and you expect even minimum wage for those 40 hours you need to actually get good at the skill before going on and selling your work.. because why would the cost of a beginner’s work be more expensive than that of an artisan with 20 years of experience!!!!

People seem to not realise that the best abstract artists, cubists, impressionists, modernists, all have a strong basis in classical art. They have trained in perspective, light and shadows, and portraiture. You need to know the rules so that you know which ones get broken in order to make good art
