@leahshomestead: What do our chicken coop and rabbit barn have in common? Airflow. If you can smell ammonia, your animals are breathing it too. Poor ventilation leads to respiratory issues, moisture buildup, and bigger problems—especially for rabbits in the summer heat. Fresh air matters more than people think. We don’t seal our animals up—we let them breathe. #HomesteadLife #BackyardChickens #MeatRabbits #ChickenCoop #HomesteadingTips
So rabbit barns are tough to have in central Florida where it’s so hot , providing AC would be expensive

Do you have (or have you considered) a ceiling fan?? These are great b/c they can be set to either push ceiling heat back down to the floor where critters can enjoy it (winter) or REVERSED so they suck heat UP from the floor & push it down walls & out windows (summer). Conventional ceiling fans hang a foot down so might clonk rafters but smaller fans w/shorter blades might be used instead. The air circulation would help dry the air to reduce odor, mildew, & disease growth as well.
