Many people (myself included) find that the positives - safety, cleanliness, public transportation, nature, food, seasonal beauty, and daily orderliness definitely outweigh the negatives by far. Our family goal is to eventually stay in SK for good which is why I'm learning the language, & so is my son. My husband is trying too, bless him🤣😄 I've seen firsthand, from our first visit to now, how much easier everything becomes when you know even just the basics. Not perfect but enough to get by and actually live life there, not just visit it, Even though we love Seoul & Busan, our hearts are really in Suwon or Incheon , they are small enough to breathe, close enough to the city, & just a little slower in the best way Also when you have an autistic child, loneliness & isolation become part of your normal , you learn that pretty fast. As for judgment boyyy that doesn't scare me one bit. I come from a culture 🤣🤣🇨🇺that holds the world record in that department🤪🤣👏 I came out of that jungle just fine, so I think we'll be okay & you my friends now worries I will hop on that ferry & come find you with a full container of ropa vieja, tostones, & pastelitos. Consider yourself warned. 🛳️🇨🇺💜

That's the dichotomy of living in Japan. there are many good parts, and there's also the negative parts. You just have to try to enjoy both ends of the polarity.

I think that I’m so used to a mixed society that I would not feel comfortable living in a homogeneous society. I wouldn’t want to live even in Vietnam, I won’t fit in well. I definitely won’t like living in Japan. I think to visit and do a short-term. But definitely can’t make it my home.
