It’s a very privileged take. Vegan is not always the healthiest or most sustainable option. I say that as a vegetarian of 22 years, and I was vegan for 6 of those.

I don’t have the money for a well rounded vegan diet. Chicken and beef make up 75% of what I eat eat because it’s nutritive and filling, and keeps me full until my next meal. Vegetables alone don’t do that

and im so tired of the argument "well meat is expensive" like it's not just about meat? literally anything else you buy is 3× more expensive if you need to get the vegan option or god forbid you can't cook one night and 90% of places don't have vegan meals

Not only do i not have the money to be vegan, I am allergic to vegan alternatives. If that were not my circumstance, I would totally be vegan, but my body cannot accept it

Because of the type of cancer I had a few years ago I can’t have products made from mainly soy. Guess what a ton of meat alternatives are made of? I only eat chicken and fish just to get what I need nutrition wise.
