Pro spray tan artist here... To be clear, if it tans your skin it WILL stain your hands, hence clear spray tans vs bronzers... because DHA is clear. What it won't do is stain your clothes/sheets. Kthanksbye!

They both have DHA- as all tanners do which is where the “stain” comes from. So regardless of sheer or not, when it drys it can stain your hands if not washed.

we had clear tanner for 30 years and got sick of the streak and splotches....so they added bronzer and color FOR US. We as consumers asked for it.
