So you drilled through a waterproofing membrane, where it’s needed the most? Why do people do this, it’s a stupid suggestion by the council, it compromises the membrane, I wouldn’t have removed the membrane either it’s not the best place to put a strip of wallpaper. As an ex tile design consultant & rep of waterproofing membranes I hate see people doing DIY waterproofing, it’s such a vital part of a bathroom.

I’ve always had wallpaper in my bathrooms and even on the ceiling! I used anaglypta paintable wallpaper on all of my ceilings…I know …crazy…but it’s the unforgotten wall!
