So many missed opportunities —- could have had some focus on Miranda’s HR woes and her adapting to the modern workplace, coulda had a focus on the death of the print media industry, coulda been about Andy bringing “real” journalism to the magazine, coulda been about Miranda finding renewed passion… instead it’s about sort of nothing. Find a billionaire to save the magazine… 🤷🏻♀️so weird.

“Designed in a lab” is a great way to put it. I enjoyed it, but it felt like it was engineered to make me enjoy it in the moment rather than take risks with the characters in the way the first film did

That wasn’t a sequel. That was back to back nostalgia bait, fan service scenes, and advertisement. Every character felt so hollow. Terrible use of green screen (Miranda’s hotel room). It felt like ai wrote the the plot. Replicating the meeting room scene, wardrobe change scene.

The first movie felt timeless. The sequel is going to feel so dated in 5-7 years. Billionaires, tech bros, AI, all topics that will immediately age the film to be in 2026
