16 years ago my husband and I choose commitment, love and relationship. We didn’t choose marriage for 4 years. We just celebrated 14 years of marriage. We have chose each other in every moment of our relationship. In our minds the marriage is just a piece of paper. It was just a public declaration of choosing each other. Love this message.

Marriage is a legal contract. Commitment is an internal choice to plant your feet and STICK, no matter what. Love is about providing care for someone, even when it may mean the choice hurts. Relationships are about the interplay between people.

marriage is work and its not pretty and easy. just like the statement i love you but i dont like you very much right now. me and my husband definitely have learned that that is perfectly normal. and even after 30 years I learn something new everyday, every year...patience. I agree with everything you have stated. you explained it beautifully.
