people want to nickname my boys SO badly, but my oldest is absolutely opposed (youngest is too little to state his opinion yet). he'll tell off a grownup about it, and I won't stop him. he introduced himself by what he wanted you to call him 🤷🏼♀️

It’s hard name to shorten. Mer. Mera. Dith. If you were in Australia and played Australian Rules Football (see AFLW)… you could be referred to a Steelo or Steelzy. There’s a system.
