READ THIS when I say "don’t pick a niche”, that doesn't mean don’t have an anchor to your content. You bascially have two options (or a hybrid of both.) ONE: Lead with expert content. That means your niche, for want of a better word, would become your anchor topic. This is what my account is mostlyyyy doing in the way that I'm talking about social media a lot. I'm creating synergy between personal branding and my face. It means that my goal is when you're sitting at dinner and someone starts talking about social media, you reference the girl in the matcha hat that has been popping up on your feed all week. BUT notice what else you know about me (50k follower bet, loves matcha, lives in cape town, has cocker spaniel etc). You're allowed to have an anchor subject and still know and still reference things wider about who you actually are as a human! TWO: You lead with a journey perspective. So, you have to give someone the narrative of who you are and where you're trying to get to. Is it that you're a new mum and you're trying to fit all of the things in your world into your new time schedule? Is it that you're in your thirties and suddenly realising that you don't want to do the career that you signed up to do for the rest of your life? Are you testing or trying new hobbies to figure out how to funmaxx your life? THREE: My personal favourite is usually both (especially if you're trying to sell something, a service or coaching etc). That's exactly why I have this 50,000 followers bet with Patrick on this account, because it creates this fun entertainment aspect that I get to joke about constantly.
