@minoomakesstuff is trying bread from the other side of the world! 🍞 Okay so here’s what happened… last night I came across this Australian damper bread. Only 3 ingredients. No added sugar. Very intriguing. So this morning I got up and gave it a try… and the aroma that filled my house! This scone like dense bread consumed warm with some butter and honey was like the world fuzziest, coziest hug and you NEED to give it a try right NOW. You already know I’m on a journey to go around the world in easy, low ingredient breads that anyone can make (and turning it into a cookbook)! Follow @minoomakesstuff to come along 🥰 Here’s how to make this 3 ingredient Australian damper bread: 1. In a bowl, add 2 cups of self rising flour, along with 20g cold butter, cut into small cubes. With your hands, massage the butter into the flour till it’s all combined. 2. Make a well in the centre of the flour and add in either 1 cup of milk or 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup water (up to you). Combine this with your hands and knead until a smooth, thick dough ball forms. 3. Transfer your dough ball to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Using a knife, cut a cross into the top of your bread, then bake it for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. 4. Cut into your bread, top with whatever you like and enjoy!!! 🥳 I’m adding this to the recipes in my easy low ingredient breads from around the world cookbook for SURE! Which countries bread should I try next?
