This is why I do what I do. Being an ICU nurse in a trauma center can be soul crushing sometimes, but seeing this makes it worth it. Thank you for sharing, and if you’re up for it, go back and visit the nurses in the ICU that took care of you. We need a reminder of the why every once and while.
