Next chapter may 17th 👍 Sorry my updates have been sparse, to be completely honest I have been struggling quite a bit! I switched doctors back in January because I was finding my adhd medication to not really be as effective as it used to be, and since then I’ve been changing medicine every month or so and I keep ending up without any medications for weeks at a time, which is heavily affecting my workflow. My mind has been foggy from the constant on-and-off and switching of medications. It’s really frustrating because I do truly want to draw! I cannot describe how impossible it feels to focus on anything while going through withdrawals every few weeks. I am going to be traveling quite a bit this summer because I think I need a change of pace. Rent is too expensive in my city and I am trying to figure out where I should go next. I have not had the opportunity to see my friends for the past year-ish, so I’m hoping that going out and spending time with my friends and family across the country will help me get back on track. — About magic 8 ball cat, since people still ask me despite my story posts: I stopped drawing magic 8 ball cat because he has been posted to Pinterest so many times that people take him and use him as a figurehead for inappropriate content that I do not agree with. Drawing him brings me nothing but dread. You may call me insufferable as much as you like, but this is not just about pixels. I am a real person and I have my boundaries. Please do not ask me to continue the comic. However, this DOES NOT mean I am ending EBYL. EBYL is far too important of a story to me, so I will not cut corners and I will tell the story the way I want it to be told. No matter how long it takes me, I will continue working on EBYL to the very end. Unfortunately, because I am so slow to upload, the story suffers from being unable to get to all the lore as quickly as some of you may like. Please rest assured that I have the story planned out and that the other characters will get their time to shine. I don’t want to sacrifice quality to rush out content faster. I care about my art and story, and I want to put my best effort into the artwork. EBYL is for me and for those who have dealt with/are dealing with similar issues as those described in the comic. It is not for money or for fame. I’ve lost a lot of my audience because of my inconsistency, so I thank everyone who has stuck by me and continued to read EBYL while I try to get back to my normal.
