He won $9,500 in a settlement 6 years ago (Silverthorne, Colorado), but there is no evidence that the officers involved or the postal staff were ever retrained or admonished for their involvement. As part of the settlement the township included a "not at fault" clause which is kinda bs but standard practice in settlements. Basically they say they know they did something wrong but they won't admit to it so here's some money to not take it to higher court.
